William Louis Otte ( California 1871-1957) born in Sheboygan, WI, on Dec. 6, 1871. Otte was a successful stockbroker in New York, and in his leisure, he studied at the New York School of Art, Independent School of Art, and Robert Henri. In 1913 Otte retired from the stock market to devote his life to art.

Very fine, Santa Barbara framed pastel drawing, titled In God's Country and Mine and dated 1916 on reverse side. Signed at lower left.

Excellent condition. recently reframed in dark wood and gilt frame.  Frame measures 22 3/4" x 19", visible image measures 19" x 23" frame
