This beautiful heavily carved oak dining table and chairs from R.J. Horner c.1890 features putti, ornate scroll work, lioness masks and seated griffons. The two part pedestal base fits snugly together with wood pegs and has a center support column for use when the leaves are added. At some point in its life casters were added to the base making maneuverability an easier task. The fabric covers on the chairs have been replaced at one point with red velvet which is in keeping with the style.
