Antique Thai bronze figurine depicting a seated monk with flanking ceremonial fans painted in light gold leaf (rattanakosin). Such statuettes are thought to bring prosperity, luck, and protection to their beholder. This statue most likely depicts Luang Phor Ngern (also known as Luang Pu Ngern Buddhachote, 1810 - 1919), a highly revered Buddhist monk from Wat Bang Khlan in Phichit Province, Thailand.
