Mae Phosop is the revered Thai and Lao rice goddess, often associated with Buddhist contexts where she is seen as a mother figure providing sustenance. Legend says a hermit cut her into pieces to create various rice types, ensuring food for humanity. She is honored for prosperity and good harvests. 

Small size, measures 4 1/2" tall x 2 1/4" x 2 3/4". Excellent condition, nice dark oxidized antique patina.
