Standing at nearly 30 inches tall, this statue is a fantastic small scale reproduction of a Chinese terracotta warrior. The terracotta warrior army was first discovered in 1974 in the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. Located just outside of Xi'an and composed of an estimated 8,000 life sized statues, the terracotta army was intended to protect the emperor in the afterlife.
This figure is classified as a high-ranking general type. High-ranking general figures are recognizable by their elaborate fish scale armor, the eight ornamental knots worn on their torsos, double tailed "He Guan" hairstyles, and crossed hands. They are the highest ranking type in the terracotta army, and the rarest type of figure discovered in the emperor's tomb. A powerful symbol of authority and valor, this terracotta warrior replica makes for a wonderful display piece.
