Stunning Emile Galle Quatrefoil 2 Tier Marquetry Art Nouveau Lamp Table

$7,295.00

This absolutely gorgeous Emile Galle table with full stemmed and leaved lilies in bloom. Emile Galle (1846-1904) was a French visual artist who worked mainly in glass, but occasionally ventured into furniture and decorative arts. He is considered one of the leading innovators of the French Art Nouveau movement. He was known for using cashew wood to construct most of his furniture.

This table has his workshops signature in the lower right hand corner. The second tier is also adorned with inlaid wood flora. The two tiers are shaped opposite each other. The top face being crafted in a quatrefoil shape and the second tier being the exact inverse of the first makes this table incredibly cohesive as a work of art. It's much more than just a functional table.

Appears to be water damage in one of the corners, would be far less noticeable with a small coat of wood finishing oil.

28 3/4" height x 21 3/4" width x 22" depth
Feet are 17" apart

This table came from the home of two celebrated art glass collectors.
