Sergio Bustamante (Mexican, 1949), original oil painting on board titled 'El Porque de los Designios' or 'The Reason Behind the Designs'. Showing a bizarre dream-like scenario of humanoid animals, notably the Illusionist Rabbit who is the theme in several of Bustamante's works.

Frame shows obvious wear, could be touched up in spots. Painting is excellent. Frame is quite heavy for size.

Frame measures 21" x 24", painting measures 13 1/2" x 17".

Born in 1949 in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, Sergio Bustamante is a prolific contemporary artist known for his whimsical and surrealistic style. Much like this painting, his work frequently blends elements of magic realism with a vibrant Mexican aesthetic
