Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, Aluminia Faience Tranquebar blue pattern oval serving tray. Large platter in white porcelain with blue tulip framed by basket weave design.

Hallmarks at base, marked 11/931

Measures 19 1/2" x 14" x 1 7/8" tall. 

Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs.

The Tranquebar service was created in 1914 by the painter Christian Joachim. Original production started at the Aluminia factory in 1914 and was continued by Royal Copenhagen in 1969. 

The service was named Tranquebar after the old Danish colony in India.
