Ornate Italian Inlaid Marquetry Rolltop Bureau Cabinet or Secretary Desk

This exquisite Italian rolltop secretary desk is fit for a palace; every detail is breathtakingly elegant, from the intricate floral marquetry with inlaid birds and butterflies to the curved silhouette and broken pediment top. With a variety of drawer sizes and shapes, as well as small cabinets and niches, storage is plentiful. The upper shelf resembles an architectural arcade, with rows of arches that could house books or display trinkets and decorative items. The writing desk component, which rests atop a three drawer bombe style commode with ornate brass pulls, includes an extendable surface with gold details, as well as many additional storage compartments.

This is a truly one of a kind piece that demonstrates remarkable artistry and craftsmanship!
