German Air Sports Formation - Deutscher Luftsport-Verband (DLV) Dagger w/ scabbard, by "Paul Weyersberg & Co" Original
55 cm overall with 371 mm blade length, marked "Paul Weyersbeg & Co., Solingen", semi-bright finish, blue leather grip w/ wire wrap, sunwheel swastikas to guard & pommel. Includes blue leather scabbard w/nickel fittings and double rings.
Note that metal fittings that are secured with staples rather than the normal screws found on a steel based Luftwaffe 1st dagger and lacks interior steel liner, a fine piece.
These were introduced in 1934 under the guidance of the DLV President, Bruno Loerzer. Production was brief, ending in 1935 or 1936.
