American artist Lorenzo E Ghiglieri (1931–2020), best known as an internationally renowned sculptor, but also widely appreciated for his paintings.

A Native Inuit hunter inside a traditional kayak on the icy Arctic waters. Ghiglieri lived for a time in Alaska, drawing deep inspiration from the wild nature and local indigenous cultures.

Signed and dated 1976 at lower right.

Frame measures 52 1/2" x 28" x 2", painting measures 47 1/2" x 24". 

Excellent condition, frame shows mild wear.
