Monumental Chinese Bronze Champleve Enamel Vase With Figural Handles

Turn of the century Chinese bronze Champleve enamel vase. Bulbous body with narrow neck and  circular 4 sided rim. Prominent figural handles adorn each side.

Heavily textured bronze with coil-like design. The primary decorative enamel bands across the neck and belly showcase prominent, multi-colored Taotie (monster mask) designs. These abstractions simulate stylized ancient Chinese totemic eyes, brows, and jaws in bold turquoise, cobalt blue, red, and jade green enamels.

Measures 18" tall x 11" x 11". Excellent condition, show minor wear, no major cracks or flaws.
