Stunning antique Lapis Lazuli metal mounted walking stick, attributed to Russian or French origins, most likely dating from late 19th to early 20th century. 

The handle is intricately carved from a single piece of lapis lazuli into the shape of a crested bird's head. The head screws on to the shaft and may have been interchangeable in the past.

The exquisite shaft is made of veneered mosaic panels of lapis segmented by silver metal bands. 

Nice heavy, solid piece and in excellent condition.
