Totem pole carved wood sculpture created by Master carver, Jimmy Joseph, a prominent 4th-generation Indigenous artist from the Kwakwaka'wakw (Kwakiutl) Nation of Alert Bay, British Columbia.

Large totem style sculpture with deeply carved imagery featuring an eagle with impressive wing span and a face of a different creature carved on his chest. Painted contrasting pigments of red, green and black. Set on wood base, or can easily sit on it's own.

Marked at base 'Jimmy Joseph Kwakiutl Alert Bay March 1985 Eagle'

Measures 25" wide x 4" x 17" tall

Excellent condition, shows minor hairline at back of head, as photographed.
