Vintage traditional Philippines Hukop (also known as Huop or Ho-op), lidded basket, historically used by the Ifugao people of Luzon Island for holding cooked rice. Constructed from dark handwoven bamboo and rattan, featuring heavy split rattan for the rim and lid sides. Small loop handles at each side of lid

Measures 12" x 12" x 4 1/2" tall.

Excellent condition, shows minor wear, light splitting in rattan at base rim in one spot, as photographed. Great for storage or its intended use.
