EW WYON Marble Cherub Plaque in Victorian Gilt Frame CALMADY CHILDREN

Marble relief circular plaque depicting two cherubs or putti children by the sculptor Edward William Wyon (1811-1885).  Signed and dated 1848 in sculpture on right side.  

Based on the famous 18th century painting by Sir Thomas Lawrence, known as "Children at Play" or "The Calmady Children"

High relief, sparkling white marble accented by elaborate gilt wood Victorian style frame. 

Frame measures 11 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 2". 

Excellent condition, no major damage or visible repairs.
