Very fine, most likely Republic era Chinese carved statue. Carved opal shows a scholar or elder happily enjoying a drink in nature with 2 squirrels lurking behind. Attached to wood stand. Measures 4.25" x 3.75" tall x 1", including stand.

Excellent condition, scholar shows a small hairline at drinking arm.
