The 41ASW marking indicates the blade was made in 1942 by E. und F. Hörster & Co.

The dagger is in immaculate condition for its age. The serial numbers on the blade and sheath do not match, which was not uncommon during wartime. The blade looks to be in excellent condition, and both the sheath and leather frog have held up well over time.
