Gorgeous oil on canvas triptych by Russian painter Roman Zaslonov. The three canvases together depict a royal party, with guests playing musical instruments and standing around a puppet master. The puppet master, found in the center of everything in a large bright red dress, appears to be controlling two puppets in a set for a play fashioned as a castle and its grounds. One of the puppets hair is a perfect miniature replica of her hair style, implying that the puppets she has control over are in some way her own self or life. This blonde figure with red ribbons in her hair was a common subject in Zaslonov's work. Her shins and feet are exposed, and can be found sandwiching the main part of the set together in the foreground of the painting. In the painting on the right, one of the musical guests shares a striking resemblance to Shakespeare.

This triptych is held together by a custom made wood frame that is decorated to elevate the subjects in the painting. A red and white striped pattern borders each canvas, mirroring the color pallet used by Zaslonov. The rest of the frame is decorated in gold leaf, extenuating the wealth and royalty of the guests at the party.

Each canvas is signed by Zaslonov, one in the lower left hand corner, the other two in the lower right hand.

Great condition. No repairs or damage to any of the canvases.
