Beautiful old Mindanao or South East Indian betel nut box. Brass or bronze with geometric, diamond shaped copper inlay. Open large hinged lid to see one open compartment. Excellent condition, hinges attached, slightly loose, Interior of box base is showing wear with hole that pierces through, as photographed. I believe dating late 19th century. Overall unique, interesting box could be used for trinkets, jewelry, or hide small personals.

Measures 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 2 1/4".
