Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, Aluminia Faience Tranquebar blue pattern luncheon plate set of 3. Cobalt blue flower framed by basket weave design.
Each measures 9".
One plate has some very minor flea bits in the glaze at the rim, as photographed. All others are in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor surface scratching.
The Tranquebar service was created in 1914 by the painter Christian Joachim. Original production started at the Aluminia factory in 1914 and was continued by Royal Copenhagen in 1969.
The service was named Tranquebar after the old Danish colony in India.
