CHINESE Blue & White Porcelain DRAGON Serpent Candle Holder Hat or WIG STAND

Cylindrical Chinese perforated hat or wig stand. Porcelain with cobalt blue underglaze showing a dragon design. These cylindrical objects with the pierced openings along the sides were produced to place large hats or wigs on which allowed air to circulate around the interior of a hat after wearing. Could also be used as a candle stand or vase if you a glass interior. Often these are turned in to lamps. Comes with custom base stand. Measures 11 1/4" tall x 4 3/4", not including stand. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs.
