Antique CHINOISERIE Gilt Lacquer Figural Village Scene Wood Pewter TEA CADDY Box

Beautiful 19th century Chinoiserie tea caddy with hinged lid and hand painted decoration.

The design is obviously quite worn, but still apparent showing a figural and village design at top and each side, all outlined in intricate gold gilt leaves and flowers. Hinged lid opens to a stunning gilt botanical design and 2 compartments with pewter lids showing an ornate engraved design. Key is missing. Light chip at left front corner. Please ignore the circular spots you might see from sun reflections. Overall good condition for age, but showing obvious wear, mostly on the exterior. 

Measures 8 1/2" x 5 3/4" x 4" tall.
