Original Rene Rickabaugh Post Impressionist Painting in Gold Frame 'Blue Shoes' 1984

Fantastic original René Rickabaugh, a Portland artist whose work has been on exhibition in multiple galleries based in Portland, Seattle and New York starting in 1972. Drawing from art styles including surrealism, pointillism and still life tradition of artists of the Netherlands. 

This piece depicts a young man in a black suit with blue thread, and a pair of blue shoes with black ribbons. He appears to be standing in a courtyard-like space and holding a long colorful rod that curls at the top. 

It is framed with a light brown matte, and a gold leaf frame. Watercolor and oil pastel on paper.
