Rare collectible Lenox plate, made especially for Black Starr & Frost, Gorham inc, New York . Shows a masted ship, "Sweepstakes" New York 1853, within a gold border at center. Rim is a border of alternating blue and white lines imitating the surf, accented by gold rim. Signed G Holmes within design.

Measures 10.5".
