Stunning antique Japanese, most likely Meiji era folding fan. Bright gold lacquer on tortoise shell showing incredibly ornate detailed bird and flowering branches design. Excellent condition. Tassel shows fraying. Guards are excellent, with light wear, no major damage or cracks. Measures 10 3/4" long.
