Wonderful Raised Japanese Cabinet Crafted with Geometrically Intricate Inlayed Wood and Hand Wrought Hardware

Beautiful raised small Japanese cabinet made during the Meiji period. Outside surface of the cabinet is decorated in abstract geometric patterns, made utilizing various shades of inlaid wood. The addition of the mathematical spirals and expertly measured shapes was used to highlight the intelligence of the Japanese empire during the Meiji era.

Original brass hardware, hinges and small side handles. Front two doors swing open to reveal six equally sized small drawers, all open easily. Below the two doors is one long drawer. 

Good condition, some brass corner hardware is missing and pulled up. Some small water damage on the top surface. Could be easily buffed out and re stained. Wear is consistent with age. Brass metal base was added more recently to modernize it. Front compartment doors swing open easily.
