Rare Antique Japanese Tansu Adorned with Hundreds of Hand Hammered Milagro Charms

Incredibly crafted antique Japanese raised tansu with black background. Front, sides and back surface adorned in hand hammered individual unique Mexican milagro charms. Small drawers surround the main compartment that is concealed with two small doors. The body of the chest rests on a matching adorned stand that was custom fit to raise the main compartment of the tansu off the floor. 

Mexican milagro charms are used for religious expression and decoration. Commonly used to embellish house hold items. 

Great condition, all drawers open with ease. Small amount of missing charms in high areas of use. Small bag included of extra charms for replacements.
