Antique Chinese Brass Street Food Server Stand Cart with Six Accessories
Fantastic condition antique Chinese brass street-vendor noodle/food organizer, these are used by Asian street vendors to serve noodles and dumplings but could be perfectly repurposed as a organizer for art supplies, assorted toiletries, crafting essentials or even as a bright and fun bar cart that everyone will ask about. There are six sides, five of them are glass and allow a wonderful view into the small shelfed area. The sixth side is a small swing-door allows access into the inside compartment where a shelf and a basement like area can be found. The bottom platform has a door that opens into another compartment, probably used for backstock or where the street vendors would keep coals so that the food would stay warm.
The six accessories that are pictured include four various sized lidded brass boxes that were originally used for condiments or accoutrements, a beautiful brass teapot and an oil lamp. All of these accessories (except for the teapot) have connectors on the back so that they can hang from the top ring of the cart (as shown in a couple of the photos). The top tray is also removeable and can be taken off (in photos) for easier access into the inside compartment.
This piece is in great condition, it has been taken care of very well and it shows. The brass stills shines despite a couple areas of wear. All doors/accessories/removeable parts are easy to manipulate.
