Gorgeous English Victorian Marquetry Music Cabinet with Easel Top

A very fine raised Victorian music stand with cabinet, shelf and drawer. The rectangular top also has a hinged easel panel inlaid with floral marquetry of exotic woods within geometric and foliate borders, all enclosed by a pierced gilt-bronze gallery.

The frieze fitted with a single drawer faced in figured burl walnut and accented with gilt-bronze mounts, raised on turned supports. The lower section is divided into four compartments for the storage of sheet music or folios, flanked by ebonized stiles and standing on splayed legs. Veneered in rich burl walnut with ebonized and gilt-bronze accents throughout.

Great condition, some pulling on the metal edging. Small dent on the second shelf near the edge.
