Codice Murua, stunning handmade copy of the original 16th century book by Spanish explorers in Peru. On their second voyage there, they took artists who could draw pictures and make notes of the people and culture there.

The facsimile: 270 pages in the original format—20 x 30 cm—bound in vellum with leather ties after the original. Profusely illustrated with hand written notes. Excellent condition, light wear to some pages, but overall beautiful condition. Measures 8" x 1" x 12"

Companion modern book: Commentary (277 pp) by Juan Ossio. Limited edition of 980 copies. is a commentary and translation of the original writings.
