Rare, really wonderful, hand painted mountain landscape on mid 19th century tintype daguerreotype case with leather spine. The front and back are paper mache, inlaid with mother of pearl and accented with gilt. The front has an original miniature oil painting of pink tone mountains. Red velvet interior holds an image of unknown young man measuring 1.5" x 2.25".

Case is in good condition with some wear to the spine and velvet, Painting is excellent. Case measures 3 .125" x 2.25" x .75".
