Antique CHINOISERIE Gilt Lacquer Figural Octagonal Wood Pewter TEA CADDY Box

Beautiful 19th century Chinoiserie octagonal tea caddy with hinged lid and hand painted decoration.

The design is obviously quite worn, but still apparent showing a figural and geometric design. Hinged lid opens to a a large compartment holding 2 pewter boxes with ornate figural and botanical engravings. Key is missing and paint is flaking or worn. Please ignore the circular spots you might see from sun reflections. Overall good condition for age, but showing obvious wear, mostly on the exterior. 

Measures 8" x 5" x 5" tall.
