WWII Luftwaffe double-barrel flare gun.
These signal pistols were issued to Luftwaffe aircrews in order to give them a method of communication that did not rely on their radio transmitters. This particular example is marked 1942 with an "IZS" makers mark. The left side of the frame is marked with Luftwaffe contract number "FL 24483" near the front. The right side of the gun is marked with the serial number. The barrels have a "4" in a circle and are each waffenamt.
Good condition, chambered in 26.5 mm (4 Bore).
