Taizo Minagawa (Kyoto, Japan, 1917-2005) framed woodblock of Traditional House in snow, shows artist seal at lower right. Excellent condition. Simple frame measures 7" x 9", print measures 4" x 5 3/4".

Taizo Minagawa was born in Kyoto and graduated from the Kyoto City School of Arts and Crafts. While he is best known as a weaver and textile dyer in Japan, he also produced wonderful self-carved, self-printed woodblock prints during the 20th century
