The round top rests on an octagonal pedestal base and depicts iridescent urban courtyard scenes in stunning detail, with various figures, architectural forms, and foliate imagery. The natural patina of the bronze brings the lovely tones of the polychrome to life. It is sure to be the center of attention in any room!

The New York based father and son duo Philip and Kelvin LaVerne are renowned for melding fine art with function, with their idiosyncratic style and unique design processes. Both have extensive art education backgrounds, with Philip LaVerne studying under the Ashcan school painter John Sloan, and Kelvin studying art history, furniture design, and metal sculpting at the Parsons School of Design. Their work reflects their art historical knowledge, with its many references to Greek, Egyptian, and Chinese art. Their innovative construction techniques allow tables like these to remain in generally good condition, requiring little maintenance, due to their natural patinas. Philip and Kelvin LaVerne's work remains highly sought after, due to the high degree of precision and artistry it demonstrates.

Height: 17" / Diameter: 39.5"

Good condition!
