Great illustration by the British painter and graphic artist Elijah Albert Cox (1876-1955) featuring a colourful scene of a royal barge with the sails on the ship billowing, flags flying, the Queen on a throne and people in the foreground, the text below against the dark border. 56 colonial territories took part in the British Empire Exhibition at Wembley Park from 23 April 1924 (opened by King George V) to 31 October 1925 in the purpose built national sports ground, Wembley Stadium (1923-2000).
Excellent condition, backed on linen. Measures 33" x 24". Exceptionally well framed, frame measures 50" tall x 37".
