19th Century Victorian Pewter Ale Measure Spouted Tankard


19th century Victorian pewter pint size spouted tankard.

Used for measuring ale, beer cider or perry before serving (and for drinking out of in a pinch).
Marked pint upon side with two different verification marks. The number indicates the town or county where the measurement of capacity was checked, the VR (Victoria Regina) and crown mark means it was an official act.

4 5/8 inches tall, 5 3/4" across handle, 5" wide across spout. In excellent condition. The handle form indicates manufacture about 1820-1860.
